Day two.
Hello again folks. I am back again today with another beauty. It’s no surprise really but it’s my other cat, Rescue.
I’ve perhaps unfairly made her a lot more moody looking in this sketch, she honestly looked more like a cherub baby earth angel in the photo I took but this drawing is definitely giving me more ‘it’s approximately five seconds past dinner time’ vibes.
You don’t want to get between Rescue and her dinner. I’m sure many of us can relate, I certainly can. You would not like to meet me when I’m hangry. It’s partly why I now carry a small emergency packet of oaty biscuits in my bag when I’m out and about. As you might be able to see in the drawing Rescue has her own cookie pouch. Its taken her years of snaffooing little snackies and double dinners to cultivate. She loves to lie on her side and show it off, so I’m sure she must be proud of it.
There is another name for a cat’s wobbly belly and thats the primordial pouch. It sounds like it should be carried by a wizard and contain the secrets of the universe, maybe it still does, but officially its to help protect a cat’s internal organs when scrapping with other feisty furballs.
I’d say my cats have definitely taught me something about body positivity and not giving a damn about the haters. Got a muffin top? A squidgy belly that wobbles when you run? Who cares? It’s full of magic and life’s mysteries… and maybe kit kats. I do love a four digit kit kat. I feel like there’s just something really indulgent about them compared to the standard two.
Anyway, thank you for reading my silly little cat post, see you next time.
Lots of loaf,
Ruth xx
